I posted this in the older version form by mistake
This works fine with cinnamon but not with kde
If i change my mac addrre the connectin drops....network manager still shows me as connected
This is what I am doing
ifconfig wlan1 down
ifconfig wlan1 hw ether aa:aa:aa:aa:aa:aa
or
macchanger -r wlan1 ##-- if I don't want to think about it and just make it random --##
ifconfig wlan1 up
I have to tell network manager to disconnect and connect again for it to work
Its a pain to do that....but in cinnamon you can spoof your Mac on the fly and connection if fine....anyone know why???
