Activation of network connection failed [usb dongle]

Hello People!!

I've switched to mint 14 after using ubuntu for a while now. i was using ubuntu 12.04 with a vodafone dongle.
when running the mint virtual cd i set up the broadband connection and i was connected. after installing the
OS i 've noticed that the same connection wasn't working anymore. I thought it was the settings which got corrected
so i postedhttp://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=124746 to find out how to reset it. after resetting it
it still doesn't connect meanwhile other usb donble has been working using the same vodafone configuration as i noticed
they use the same settings that is GLO. I cannot comprehend why same usb dongle is not working on the same machine
only the OS has changed.
