TP-Link Router problem [SOLVED sort of]

Postby excollier on Mon Apr 15, 2013 4:59 am

I have just installed a Tp-Link Wireless N router, model # TL-WR740N.
I set it up with all the usual parameters, and with my dual boot Windows Vista/LM 13 Cinnamon laptop, Windows immediately connects to the internet, as does my wife's new Versus Android tablet, and a Raspberry Pi, but when I boot into Linux Mint, all I can do is connect to the router, but I cannot connect to the internet, wired or wireless. :(
Anyone have any ideas why Mint would be the odd one out here?
I was / and am back to using a Netgear Wireless G which still works perfectly with all systems, wired and wireless.
Please don't make me go back to Windows.....please.....

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Returned the router, got a powerline wireless extender instead, problem solved, but still Wireless G, which is ok for my purposes.
