Can't connect to Wireless at work

Postby mappy24 on Thu Sep 26, 2013 5:30 am

Hi,

First post, please be gentle :)

I have a dual boot laptop (a Dell Latitude E5420) with Windows 7 and Mint 15 Cinnamon x64 installed. I can connect to my work BYOD wi-fi in Windows with no problems, but I'm having problems getting Mint to connect.

I've attached some screenshots from the working wireless connection in Windows and the non-working connection in Mint. In Mint, it just refuses to connect and keeps asking for my password. The connection is running WPA-2 Enterprise security, AES encryption and Microsoft PEAP authentication.

Can anyone tell me where I'm going wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

This is a known issue with WPA-enterprise. There is a known work around: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... ug/1104476
look through that to find it. It didn't work for me at my university connection so I am looking to upgrade/downgrade NetworkManager. That has been more work than it should.
