Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Hello, lukeral.

It may sound too trivial, yet have you ever tried clicking on the tiny network-manager icon in the lower right hand part of the bottom panel? (Cf. the screenshot below.) It should open a popup list which displays all wireless networks that are visible to your wifi adapter.

Hey guys, friends and more experienced mint users,

I have prettsy much the same Problem:

I only just bought a Netgear N300 (JWNR 2000) for 30 bucks and I have a problem.

My HTC One X+ and my Win 7 Desktop-PC are connected to the Netgear N-300. The Smartphone via Wireless Lan and the Desktop-PC via LAN. As I bought the Router mainly for my netbook (running Linux Mint 16 with MATE) I started it and wanted to connect. However, my Linux Petra does not find this WLAN ( In the router-settings it is visible and WPA2-PSK protected with a nice password.) I can find the WLANs of my neighbours AND at University I have WLAN too. (which is entirely working)
Even WIFI-Radar does not find my WLAN.

As I read this topic I decided to ask, whether you can help me with my problem. (I checked many many times, it cannot be found in the tray :-( )

best wishes, merry christmas (and so on )

Kevin
