WiFi indicator light always Amber (Orange) in color?

Post by PGreenman2288 »

Hello,

I have Linux Mint MATE 17.1 Installed on my Acer Aspire One D257 Netbook and with Linux Mint it doesn’t want to indicate the wireless connectivity properly. if the wireless card is on (either connected, or NOT connected to a wireless network) then my indicator light is amber, or orange. if I completely disable the wireless card, there is absolutely no light. How do i fix it?

also on a side note, i finally got my Fn keys working again with a fix of the grub, but for some reason on my laptop the wireless is controlled by Fn + F3 (Bluetooth icon) instead of Fn + F2 (Wireless icon). any way i can fix that too? this one really isn’t as important as the light.

Thanks for taking a look! :D
