Dell Studio 1536 wifi problem

Just installed Mint <EDIT>10 </EDIT> on my Dell Studio 1536 and had to go through a bunch of stuff to get the wifi to even connect but now the problem is that I can't actually use the internet. Plugged my computer into ethernet to get all the updates and whatnot to get wifi goin and installed the broadcom driver and now I just can't get onto the actual internet. Any ideas?
