Hi
I'm want to change my wireless laptops IP address. Do I use the same syntax as a wired laptop? [ sudo ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.110 netmask 255.255.255.0 ]

You can manually change it in through the wireless icon in the task bar....just click the icon, then click manage connections, click wireless tab, highlight your wireless connection and click edit, from there you click on IP Address tab. Go to the method drop down box and click manual, after that, you just enter in the new IP address, netmask, default gateway, and the DNS address if you know them....and that should be all you need to do. If you have any further questions, just let someone know and we'll help....have a great night.
