No wireless connection in Mint 10

Postby ranger_cole on Wed Jan 26, 2011 5:48 pm

I have mint 10 installed but cannot see my wireless network. Here is some output :
inxi-N Network card Airgo Nhetworks AGN300 802.11 aq/b/g True MIMO wireless card
iwconfig lo no wireless extensions.
Left mouse click on the network icon in the tray and it says no network devices available. Any ideas???

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Hi!
That's strange; I would search in the NET with your hardware, "Linux" and "problem" and see if an Ubuntu forum offers a solution (Julia Gnome depends on Ubuntu) - if no one here can help.

Hi,

On Synaptic look for package "linux-backports-modules-compat-wireless-2.6.36-maverick-generic" and install it (2 packages). Then reboot.
It worked for me.
