mint 7 menu is always white

the bottom menu bar is in the default dark gray color but my menu where it says all, accessories, games is white no matter what theme i use i'll appreciate your help

you probably have set custom colors for the mint menu. open the mint menu preferences, uncheck the 'use custom colors' box under the colors tab. see if that helps.
