Themes not installing mint 13, kde, 64 bit

I go into the login section to change the login theme. I choose a few themes I like and click install.
I go back into the login section to change themes but the themes I 'installed' aren't in the list.
I go back into the list of downloadable themes and click on installed. They are there but not in the other section for me to select.

Am I doing something wrong?

If so, do I need to find them on my hard drive? If so where are they??? I looked and looked till my eyes got crossed and can't find them.
