Ktaskbar and Kmenu/mintmenu hangs

They hang during approx. 5 seconds during the transference of files from a external disk. Kmenu/mintmenu become barely unusable.
Is this a bug?

I asked clem if you really could use mintMenu in KDE and he replied
mintMenu in KDE?? Maybe.. I never looked into it.
So it's a bit unofficial
How did you install it?

Sorry I didn't explained myself properly. I meant Tasty Menu, not Mint Menu. Well, in the end Tasty Menu is a Mint Menu.
I found that this "problem" that I mention here happens also with 3.5.9 and 4.0.2 (Kubuntu), although with minor consequences.
