Greetings,

Could someone please tell me where the config file for the clock and date applet on the task bar is?

I want to change the date format to something that isn't in the GUI.

Thanks Much,

Fred

I've tried to find it - I think I did find it almost a year ago :)
You have things in /usr both sbin and share and a ntpconfig in /etc but none that I found is the one

Husse,

Thanks for checking for me. When I get a chance I'll try to dig a little deeper and post back the solution, if and when I find it, for posterity. :-)

Thanks again for your efforts.

look in /etc/kde/share/config/clock*
but it does not have examples in it.
you have to configure the clock with the gui to get values in it.
It may be limited in what it can change.

What do you want to change, specifically? Changing the Time & Date Format -> Time and Dates -> Short Date Format (which is what is actually displayed) I use "SHORTWEEKDAY SHORTMONTH dD" So it displays as "Sat Mar 29". I figure I can usually remember the year ;~)
