I have been looking around to decide which distro to install next as my current version is getting out of date. Via VBox I have looked at several recently. I have installed Mint 13 KDE in VBox and it all looks good except for kgpg. I have had troubles with this before. My current distro Mint 10 KDE has kgpg working well. When I try to run it in Mint 13 I get an error message about a missing folder, .gnupg/options. . I have had this problem before. If I create the folder and try again I get another error message telling me that it is ignoring that folder, and now has another error namely 'gpg: /home/neilwin/.gnupg/options:0: read error'.
I have googled extensively but to no avail. One suggestion was to run . kwriteconfig --file kgpgrc --group "GPG Settings" --key "gpg_config_path" --type string "$HOME/.gnupg/gpg.conf in a terminal which I did. No good. Unless I can get this sorted I must look elsewhere. Are there any kgpg experts on the forum please?

Re: Mint KDE and kgpg
After running ' kwriteconfig --file kgpgrc --group "GPG Settings" ... etc ' I'm able to start KGpg from Konsole.
I've found an incorrect command in KDE menu editor: KGpg command is "kgpg %U"; after changing this entry
into "kgpg -k", launching KGpg from KDE menu work fine.
