Hi, have just changed to the kde version from mate and find that programmes installed with either the package manager or software manager install fine but there is no entry in any of the programme menus. I can find the programme by searching and then put in in the favourites section but how do I get them into the proper sections of the menu pse.

This thread discussing the same issue has been alive for years now...

Thanks for that, however for some reason after a shutdown and reboot they have shown up in the correct menus.
