I found a cursor theme that I think I might like. I need to try it out first, but I have no idea how to install it. There are actually a few that I would like to try out, but I don't know how to install them. Sorry if this has already been covered. I did a search here and with google, and couldn't find anything. If there is already a thread on it, or a website that explains it already, could someone please give me a link?

here is the cursor theme I'm interested in

This was with a KDE live usb - ymmv

Download the Terranove zip file to your Downloads folder.
Right-click on the zip file, click Extract > Extract Archive Here
Close Downloads folder

Go to System Settings > Workspace Appearance > Cursor Theme - click "Install From File ..."
Click on the "Open File Dialog" button on the right of Location box, navigate to Downloads folder, click on the Terranove.tar.gz file, click ok, click ok again

Click on Terranove in the list of Cursor themes, click Apply.
