I'm soon going to receive a laptop on which the Gnome version of Linuxmint 13 has been installed, and I will want to change it to the KDE version.
At this point, I still don't know the specific type of laptop, but it's definitely going to be working properly under the Gnome version of Linuxmint 13. If the Gnome version works successfully on a given hardware setup, is it always safe to assume that the corresponding KDE version will also work without any problems under the exact, same hardware configuration?
In other words, is there anything relating to hardware that could make Linuxmint 13 KDE stop working where Linuxmint 13 Gnome works fine on the same hardware?
Thank you very much in advance.
