Hi
I recently switched from windows 7 to mint kde full time ..love it so far.. just a quick question if anyone might be able to help me... I'm looking for a way to have an address bar on the main panel at the bottom of the screen.. something like you can have in windows where you just type a internet address and it auto opens up into the default browser... is there such a thing ?
Thanks

There may be something better. But if you type Alt-F2 and bring up krunnner and type in an URL, it will open in your default browser.

Doesn't work from the taskbar (panel
) but ctrl+tab (Or other key combo) will bring it up.
Have a look at
Synapse its in the repos.

Typing in a URL and enter will bring it up in the default browser.
I beleive "Gnome-Do" does the same things....

Have you checked out
http://www.kde-apps.org? You might find a nice widget there.
Personally, I never close programs in KDE, so I haven't room on my bottom panel for any widgets
