Removing KDE

Postby branchcut on Sat Dec 22, 2012 2:18 pm

Hi all,

So, I installed LMDE Xfce. Works fine.

I decided to try out KDE. I did an aptitude install kde-full. Installed a bunch of stuff. Worked okay.

I then decided I didn't really like KDE, so I did an aptitude purge kde-full. Removed a bunch of stuff. Great.

BUT, I find that there are some KDE apps and libraries left behind. For example, Konqueror and Ark and Jovie are still there. I'm not sure why. To be fair, I'm not 100% sure that they weren't there before I did the kde-full install, but I would find that hard to believe...

Anyway, can anyone offer me guidance on how to track down why these items are on my system? Is there a way to list, let's say, all "KDE apps"?

Thanks for any advice,

Desmond
