Hi there !
The only thing that i don't manage to tweak is my desktop icon size (completely new install of mint 14)..

I go to system settings / application appearance / icons / advanced

there i change desktop icon size to 128, but it has no effect... my shortcuts (for mypaint and krita) remain at the same size.

Hope to find some help, i have been looking for a long time :p.

For your desktop icons move your mouse pointer over the icon. You should then see a sidebar popup by the icon. Move your pointer to the box shaped icon at the top and right click, hold and drag to resize the icon to any size you may desire.
