Hi!
My system gets very slow or even freezes when I use dolphin, but only on certain circustances: when I mount a disk partition and when I get in a folder with many files.
How can I debug the problem?
Couldn't replicate the problem using krusader or konqueror.
Thanks guys

Re: dolphin make system very slow or freeze
Could it be that the system gets slow after mounting an external share which is switched off? What I mean is this:
when I mount a shared disc in my wife's computer I can use it as if it is locally mounted. Then suddenly, when she switches of her PC, Dolphin comes to a halt. It takes like forever before I see some icons on my screen in Dolphin and the only thing to do is reboot.
Is that the same experience as you have?

no, the drive that is mounted it a local partition on the same disk, the slowness happened again when I entered a folder with few but large files (not that large, 18G) couldn't replicate the problem in this folder.
