I would like to try Cinnamon on my current install on LMKDE. I tried installing Cinnamon through Synaptic but everytime I try logging in to Cinnamon I get a pop up on black screen with a message, no gui, so I have to reboot.
May I have your help?

Did you install muffin?
If I recall it is needed for cinnamon..
However if you have room on the drive why not dual boot KDE and Cinnamon...

I've never tried it myself but I remember reading that KDE and Cinnamon don't play nicely with each other for some reason and can't work in the same installation. I could be thinking of something else though.
