I have a large monitor -- 26 inch -- and a Wacom® Cintique™ -- 20 inch.
There are times when I would like to have multiple desktops -- not windows, "desktops" -- open at the same time on a given monitor.
Can someone tell me how I might make this happen?
When I'm "programming" I'll use one device to display reference information or to watch something that is running. I'll use the other device for interactive things like editors, browser, email, chat etc. I know that I can switch among desktops, but there are times when I want to see more that two things at the same time.
I'm running Linux Mint-16 KDE with all patches. I have an 3.5 GHz, i7 with 8GB ram and acres of disk.
Thanks in advance,

Re: seeking "tiled" desktops
Please folks, there must be some way to have multiple "desktops" open on the same physical display without resorting to a separate virtual workstation for each "desktop."
