I am running Mint 17 w/the KDE desktop, and I'm loving it!
I noticed when I log in I have the option of loading x-script or KDE desktop environment. They both look the same to me, so what's the difference?

I have also guessed about this "x-script". Probably this is connected with x-session? About custom x-session scripts (Ubuntu documentation): https://wiki.ubuntu.com/CustomXSession
