I have problem, when i start the computer i see that the machine takes ca:580 GB memory and in the evening this have increased to ca:2780 MB ! what is eating up my memory?
i have tried and disable all screensavers and akonadi . . . when on evening when it takes ca: 2700MB the plasma desktop feel slow and a little unresponsive eg. i see an rectangle
before dektop meny appear - i measure with no apps running only uRXvt and htop . . . . can someone explain to me why this bevahiour hounts my machine.
My setup:
Processor 4x Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2320 CPU @ 3.00GHz
Memory 8159MB (1291MB used)
Operating System Linux Mint 17 Qiana
Desktop KDE 4.14.0Resolution 1920x1080 pixels
OpenGL Renderer GeForce GTX 460/PCIe/SSE2
X11 Vendor The X.Org Foundation
I have 2 instances of conky running

I suggest you start the system monitor (CTRL+ESC) or run ksysguard; click on the Memory column header to sort by memory usage. You will see the processes which are eating up memory. I have no issues and my system is very responsive while using a similar amount of memory.
