I found that I had to 'mount' the cd 1st.
then navigate to the cd via 'my computer'.
& then run amarok or such like.
:)

Hi

I have this problem too.

From my googling I have discovered that you can't mount an audio cd. (They work differently in some way). Also that Amarok 2 doesn't support audio cds.

Try typing audiocd:/ into Dolphin. It's possible that you could rip it then with k3b but I haven't had time to try that yet!

Cheers

Barry

I'm having the same problem, I have tried the suggestions that have been offered here. KsCD just says no disc, the audio disc (and a 2nd one just be sure) are not picked up by Mint which was said to be a non issue. The only thing I've been unable to do (and I'm a complete Linux noob) is the suggestion for dolphin.

I have installed it, but I don't see any bar for me to type into it. I'll continue to mess with it, but any and all suggestions would be appreciated. So far this is my only issue with Mint and I can't let it beat me..

disregard... laptop hardware problem. Noticed that the drive seemed to be dropping once you removed data media from it. Swapped out the drive for a different one and it picks up the audio cd's with no problem.
