Is there any way to make the customized Google search engine work like the default. If that is not possible, any idea how to change it back to the Firefox default. I wouldn't mind the branded version that Mint comes with except that it doesn't do any of the cool things that the normal search bar does. I saw instructions on how to change it, and had success with Mint Gnome, but can't get it to work with KDE. The guy who posted the thread that I found on here a while back, doesn't seem to visit the board anymore, and my attempt to replace the xml file resulted in no Google search bar at all.
I found a link to Mozilla's searchplugins http://mxr.mozilla.org/firefox/find?tex ... rchplugins and attempted to copy and paste the code into a file and save as google.xml, but it did not work. I notice the other files in the searchplugins folder leave out the numbers. I removed the numbers, but still no luck.
