the gnome version worked great... but the in the kde version i got the sound looped or really slow... does anyone have the same problem (sorry the grammar i speak spanish)...
also it doesnt shutdown... can anyone help please !!

That is a documented problem with Ubuntu and also Mint for relationship.
The fix is very easy
sudo vim /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
Add to bottom those lines
options snd-hda-intel power_save=10 power_save_controller=N
alias snd-card-0 snd-hda-intel
alias sound-slot-0 snd-hda-intel
options snd-hda-intel model=hp-m4
options snd-hda-intel enable_msi=1
Restart. Fixed!
By the way, i have a dv7 1285dx
The fix is very easy
