Mint KDE 12 64 bit software manager

I got this problem on all 3 computers now: the software manager starts up, but then disappears rather immediately again. This is happening on the desktop (core duo pentium & nvidia graphics card), an Aspire One Netbook with Intel Atom and a Sony Vaio netbook with AMD E-450 CPU.

Here is what it looks like when starting mintinstall (the software manager) from the terminal:

At the risk of going off topic, does anyone know if we might see muon available for those of us running KDE bolted on top of LMDE? I'd love to be able to use the native KDE app for package management.
