xfce4 terminal does not work

xfce4 terminal does not work

I have Mint 13 and seems that everything related to terminal is installed yet I can't put anything into terminal window. It looks like window inside is not responsive and also there is no cursor... any adea what to do with that?

not sure what may be happing there.
see if xterm is installed if not install it and try that.
