I have installed LM 13 XFCE on my Asrock ion 330D. I'd like to have XBMC automatically start up when the PC is turned on. How can that be set up? Many thanks!

Hi,
in XFCE's Settings Manager, theres a Tool called "Session and Startup" where you can manage the applications which are started upon login. If you additionally configure automatic login, you'll probably have the solution you are looking for.

also...

if not planning to switch back and forth between XFCE and XBMC you may want to install a lighter DE or WM only (or trimed down XFCE user profile)

Thanks for the replies. I decided to install XBMCbuntu alongside XFCE instead. It seems to be working fine so far.

If you just want a media player then XBMCbuntu is the way too go.

If you want a full OS then the solution proposed in the first reply is the way to go. Its what I am doing so I can confirm that it works :)
