Thunar auto-mount issues

In thunar-volman-settings I marked all the options to mount and open removable devices/disks. It usually works but:

1) it does not work when the device is plugged before booting the system.

2) most important, this never works with encrypted filesystems, even if the device is plugged with thunar running: I always have to click on the icon in the shortcut side section of thunar window to perform the mount. (Password is not asked as I desire: I applied the trick of putting the LUKS passphrase in the default seahorse password and setting it blank). This supposed bug is uncomfortable because I use to do frequent automatic snapshots to an encrypted external disk but when I forget to click on it....no backup !

Is there a solution by changing any thunar settings ?
If scripting is the only workaround I need some help for the second issue, as I suppose some simple "mkdir & mount" commands would not be enough for an encrypted filesystem.

Using: Mint 13 Kernel 3.2.0-33-generic XFCE 4.10 Thunar 1.4.0 seahorse 3.2.2

Thanks

Some news.
I managed to look at thunar log when I plug in an encrypted device and the answer is simply...not supported  (that is unknown device block type):

Code: Select all

thunar-volman: Tipo di dispositivo USB non supportato.
thunar-volman: Tipo di blocco del dispositivo sconosciuto.
When the mount finally succeeds (only by clicking on the icon in the shortcut side section) the following messages are logged, but it doesn't help me:

Code: Select all

thunar-volman: Non c'รจ alcun dispositivo con il percorso sysfs "/sys/devices/virtual/block/dm-0".
thunar-volman: DBus error org.gtk.Private.RemoteVolumeMonitor.Failed: An operation is already pending.
As regards any command line workaround, I found this useful:

Still remains a bad thunar lack in my opinion...
