I cannot install XFCE: with the live CD running, I 'execute' the install program which seems to run for a few seconds, then stops. I've burned separate DVDs on separate computers, but neither works.
Help appreciated.

OK, now that the Mayan Calendar has recycled I decided to try again to install Maya 13 and this time first disabled and physically removed the USB wireless-n thing...and it installed.
