and if so how would I go about doing that?
Google wasn't very helpful this time around.
I'm running Mint 13 XFCE (64 bit) now with the most recent kernel 3.8.4 (as of this writing),
updating the kernel gave me an amazing performance boost all across the board.
System is stable and no issues at all (so far). Never been so snappy and fast.
Is it worth upgrading xserver too? Any performance benefits to be expected?
Is it even possible? Or way too risky?
