Instaling Runic fonts (Fuþark)
How do I install and use runic fonts (Elder Fuþark, Younger Fuþark, AngloSaxon Fuþorc) in Linux Mint? I like the Old Germanic way of writing.

Re: Instaling Runic fonts (Fuþark)
If they're TTF fonts:
$ sudo mkdir /usr/share/fonts/truetype/runic
('truetype' is 'TTF' on some systems)
$ sudo cp runicfonts*.ttf /usr/share/fonts/truetype/runic/.
(obviously replace "runicfonts*.ttf" with the correct names.
$ sudo fc-cache -fv
$ sudo mkdir /usr/share/fonts/truetype/runic
('truetype' is 'TTF' on some systems)
$ sudo cp runicfonts*.ttf /usr/share/fonts/truetype/runic/.

$ sudo fc-cache -fv

Re: Instaling Runic fonts (Fuþark)
There a three different Runic inscriptions: the Elder Fuþark, the Younger Fuþark and the AngloSaxon Fuþorc. The AngloSaxon Fuþorc was developed because in the development of the AngloSaxon language from the proto-Germanic parent language some sound changes had occurred.
Which one should I use to write the Dutch Language in Runic? The Dutch language is closely related to the OldEnglish language of the AngloSaxons, both have developed from the West-Germanic branch of the proto-Germanic.
But I have a problem with the /usr/share/fonts/truetype/runic/anglosaxonrunes.ttf, when I want to write in LibreOffice Writer the following letters in Fuþorc: þ,ð, æ they don't appear in runic, even when I have selected the Anglo Saxon Runes as font in LibreOffice Writer. And how do I write the Runic font 'yr' u-umlaut (i-mutation) correctly in LibreOffice Writer?
