I have a live disc, burnt and set aside some many months ago. If I were to upgrade to the next available version, and later (for whatever reason) return to my current operational XFCE Mint 15, would I still be able to re-download all of the OS updates? I know they stopped for 15, but I'm referring to anything that was released previously.
Thank you.
Were I to upgrade to XFCE Mint 16, and revert back to 15...?

I don't think you can do a full upgrade to Mint 16 and then revert to Mint 15...

As long as a user has a seperate /home partition it shouldn't matter. Not only have I done this myself with many versions of Mint but also when testing other distros as well.clfarron4 wrote:I don't think you can do a full upgrade to Mint 16 and then revert to Mint 15...
As always it never hurts to back up your data ahead of time.

I appreciate the responses, folks. Thanks.
As a minor aside, if somewhat related, do you believe it's advisable if I were to put off upgrading until, say, a handful of months down the road? Would you, in my place?
