Getting rid of frame around clock
A google search failed to bring me any solutions. A friend of mine got the MATE edition but then installed Xfce afterward. She's trying to get it to look like the preconfigured Mint Xfce. One of the main things that annoys her is that there is a white ring around the clock and notification area. How would you go about removing the ring?

For the record, ensure your friend installed the package mint-meta-xfce (which is more than "plain XFCE")
