google talk
I installed xfce ontop of Mate and need to know how to get google talk to work.

Are you saying that installing XFCE from the repos on top of your Mint MATE installation caused Google Talk to break on your system? If that isn't what you're saying (I'm not sure), then maybe this thread should have been posted in the Software & Applications forum instead of the XFCE subforum of the Desktop Environments forum?

I don't know... xfce just doesn't seem to work. when I load a browser I can't type in the browser (gmail, for instance). Actually it doesn't recognize key strokes. SO, I just went back to Mate.
