Live CD save setup usb key

Please can someone tell me how to run Elyssa XFCE from the CD and save my settings onto a usb key.

I guess if one could point the software to a home directory on the usb key/drive, that would do it. Can I add an instruction at boot stage?

Thanks,

Oliverjames

I first read it as save my data, and that should be possible but settings...
Of course you can copy the files, but I know of no method to get the live CD to use settings on a USB stick unless you make a new ISO

Thanks, I'm now thinking more along the lines of installing the OS to a portable USB drive and making a boot CD just in case.

Once again my congratulations on the Elyssa XFCE OS. I've yet to find a machine that it won't run perfectly on in live mode.

I'd say that the only negative of the OS is its higher power consumption compared with WinXP. That's something that should be fixable to enable for example a netbook on battery power to run longer with Linux.
