Here are some bugs I found and how to fix them.
I'll update the list with more when I have time.
Search in thunar not working:
Install catfish
Volume keys not working:
Install xfce4-volumed
Notifications are the ugly default theme:
Change theme to slider
For all users:
Open Root Terminal and run this command:
Code: Select all
gconftool-2 --direct --config-source xml:readwrite:/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.defaults --type string --set /apps/notification-daemon/theme slider
Download and open with Gedbi Package Installer.

Fonts Looks bad:
Menu --> Settings --> Appearance --> Fonts.
Make sure anti-aliasing is enabled, hinting is set to slight and sub-pixel order is set to RGB.
Menu --> System --> Xfce mintDesktop
Select the System Tweaks tab and then Click the Enable/Disable button next to LCD System Fonts.
Log out and log back in.
Remove Grey Border around desktop icons text:
Menu --> System --> Xfce mintDesktop
Select the System Tweaks tab and then click the Enable/Disable button next to Use white for the font color.
Doesn't reboot the computer after updates:
Caused by debian-installer getting installed.
Remove these packages:
apt remove --purge debian-installer debian-installer-launcher kexec-tools live-tools live-config live-config-sysvinit
Menu gets messed up after updates:
Download and extract the menu I have made below.
Then right click on the menu and select Properties.
Now select Use Custom File and use the file downloaded. There are others but I have other stuff to do and will post them later.
