Test XFCE mintDesktop 0.7

Changes:
  • Changed layout
  • Added Enable/Disable Compiz Fusion on login
  • Added Enable/Disable LCD System Font tweak
  • Added Enable/Disable Border around Desktop Icons

Thanks for the translation. :D
It works great and there was only one probelm.
I had to change this
msgstr "<b>Compiz Fusion - 3D-inställningar</b>"
to
tomsgstr "<b>Compiz Fusion</b>"
because it made the application longer and it looked bad.

Well it is pretty easy really.
Run

Code: Select all

gksu thunar /usr/lib/linuxmint/xfcemintdesktop/locale/
Make a new folder for your langauge.
Example: Swedish = sv
The open that folder and make a new on called LC_MESSAGES
Now open that folder and copy your message.po file in there.
Next right click in the LC_MESSAGES folder and open Terminal to run this command.

Code: Select all

sudo msgfmt messages.po
You should now see a new file called message.mo.
Now when you use Swedish as the default language, it use the translation.

After testing this I notice I forgot to set 2 labels to be translated.
I have fixed it for the next version. :)

I have done that and I got this:

root@test-laptop:/usr/lib/linuxmint/xfcemintDesktop/locale/nl/LC_MESSAGES# sudo msgfmt messages.po
messages.po:1: sleutelwoord "sgid" onbekend (keyword sgid unknown)
messages.po:1:5: parse error
msgfmt: found 2 fatal errors
root@test-laptop:/usr/lib/linuxmint/xfcemintDesktop/locale/nl/LC_MESSAGES#

I have done it also without the sudo but the same error.

What I am doing wrong?
I like to test it before I sent the translation.

I like to test it before I sent the translation.
Looks like some where in the message.po there is a sgid instead of msgid.
Finally fixed the size of the interface so it's not so large.

I'm testing my translation but the following line stays in English.

msgid "Mplayer Video thumbnails settings for Thunar."
msgstr "Mplayer Video miniaturen voorkeuren voor Thunar."

Is there something I can do to make it work?

No, I forgot to set that to be translatable.(in the python code)
Also the enable/disable on the System Tweaks tab wasn't set as well.
It will work fine in the next version.
