xfce4 in Mint 12.
It was working OK but now when i click the "Log out" icon, the screen goes black and almost immediately returns to the Grub log-in screen.
How to repair, please?
EDIT: I tried this (from another thread): sudo apt-get remove kexec-tools but it's not installed. Should it be?

Sorry to say that it's a known bug...

The logout bug is known and hopefully will be fixed in XFCE version 4.10 it seem to effect some system and not others. The kexec work-around seem to work on most hardware but not all.
Check the XFCE (project's not Mint's) forums maybe a solution has been found. Their are some custom logout scripts (some even actual apps with artwork and all) floating around the web.

P.S. it doesn't effect my main computer so I never really checked (going by things I read)
