This is a new installation of Mint Debian xfce. I changed the bacground wallpaper from original. Then it turned b&w suddenly. All packages are up to date and this will not change when logging out or rebooting.
Help!

i reccomend you to post your question on the LMDE (Linux Mint Debian) Forums for the Debian Edition (http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewforum.php?f=141) wich is more specifically forum for your LM edition and problem.

what a stupid thing! the saturation needs to be set to at least 1, not 0. this fixes it.
