Wicd does not recognize hostname and user name

Hello to all :)
I have a little problem with my Xfce... :?
When reemplaze the Network manager, that comes with Xfce, by Wicd, it is giving me a problem.
After introducing the password to enter to the system and before the desktop appears the following message appears:

Code: Select all

It is not possible to find the direcion IP for (none).
This can prevent the correct Xfce functioning.
It can solve it adding (none) to the content of the file /etc/host in it's system
And gives me these options:

To continue anyhow or to try again

Try the option "try again" and can never enter... I always choose to "continue anyhow"

My name user does not appear either, says (none), I leave an screenshot:

I enter (none) to the content of /etc/host file, but it is not solved...
Also when I open a terminal not appear the PC name, this appears:

user_name@(none) ~ $

Might anybody say me that I must do to solve this?
Very much thanks :D
A greeting!! :mrgreen:

Hello!!
Here I leave the content of the file host, reemplaze the numbers with x for safety.

127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 "my pc name"
# The following lines are desirable for IPv6 capable hosts
::1 localhost ip6-localhost ip6-loopback
XxXX::0 ip6-localnet
xxxx::0 ip6-mcastprefix
XXxx::X ip6-allnodes
xxXX::x ip6-allrouters
XxxXx::x ip6-allhosts

The file hostname contains the name of my PC
I read a post of someone who had a similar problem and solved it adding the name of its PC to the content of the file hostname and host. The truth is that not that to do haha. I would be grateful very much to whom will help me.

PD: I opened this thread in the Xfce sub-forum because I believe that it is a problem that involves it, but if they think that it is in the wrong place move it please :)
Thanks a lot.

You presumably didn't give the computer a name during installation. Didn't know that installing without a hostname was possible.

Hello Albert.
My computer if has a name, i put it in the installation process. Also I said that the file hostname contains the name of my PC.
This happened when (I made clear in the first message) reemplaze Network Manager of Gnome for Wicd.
