Welcome in Mint land
What I'm doing with Mint is evaluating it for the wife's migration to Linux.
I think she'll like Mint; it's a fine distro that has a look I believe she'll enjoy.
Though Mint works fine on my Dell laptop with the IPW2200 wireless card,
alas, hers has that Dell/Broadcom 1390 card. (Hey, I didn't know about any
of that when I bought her computer. Next computer I buy will be fully
Linux friendly.) Naturally, I'm having issues...
I'm not worried though; I found your Mint WiFi
wiki, along with another post
here at this forum that points to a solution at Ubuntu, along with two other
solutions for Gutsy elsewhere.
Live and learn.
The beauty of Linux is that someone
is using the same hardware
you're having trouble with, and has come up with a work-around.
This is fun!
