How to remove Linux Mint from my flash drive to install a different distro of Linux? I installed Linux Mint 10 to my flash drive using the UNetBootin program. I only wanted to give it a test run. Now that I know Linux, I want a different distro. I was just wondering if there was a way to take off the Linux OS from my 4 gig flash drive. Thanks!

No need to remove.
Just format the 4G flash, then install any linux distros of your choice.

You can use Gparted to remove the existing partition and create a new one.

First, plug the drive into the computer. Open Gparted and select the flash drive (upper right. Flash drive can be definitely identified by size).

When the flash drive is selected, right click on the drive in the partition table and click "Unmount".

Now click the "Device" menu (upper left) and select "Create Partition Table". Click "Apply" in the warning box.

Next, right click on the now unformatted drive in the table and click "NEW". Leave all entries in the "Create New Partition" window as default except the "File System". Select "fat32". When done, click "Add", then click the green check mark above the partition table and click "Apply" in the warning box.

Once the partition is created, close Gparted and remove your blank USB drive.
