Will Windows 8 try to block Linux Mint?

Along the years, I've been enjoying dual-booting Windows and Linux Mint. I know what you're thinking, I'm committing treason, but I still like Windows as much as I like Linux Mint; I can't and don't want to choose one.

Have you heard of this and are the monkeys hard at work trying to give us quality software without being restricted like they always did?
