No more Wobbly Windows or Compiz?????
Since Mint 11 it seems things have been getting run downhill a bit. - One of the prime reasons for leaving Ubuntu when they released their Unity destop; Compiz and Wobbly Windows, seem to have been gradually stripped from Mint 12,13,14 and now 15RC. Features that had such clear advantages over all other distros around, so now those fans are being alienated too. --Also, the GUI has taken big steps backward. - From the attractive Gui of Mint 11 Katya, we now have rather poor representations of buttons for Home page, forward, reverse 1 page, Refresh page, and quit-shut down gui symbols. - All in all, the nice experience Of Mint 11 Katya, has been reduced & downgraded. - So, have managed to obtain Mint 11 Katya (64 bit Gnome) and re-install it. - The later distros have much ground to cover before they can anywhere as good an experience to use. - Deeply disappointed in the path Mint seems to have taken of late!!!!!!!!!!! If 15 does not finally get things back on track, the new distro hunt is on again!!!!

If you want Compiz you will need to use Mint MATE. However you can get all the features of Compiz and more by using KDE, without needing to use Compiz.viking1au wrote:obbly Windows, seem to have been gradually stripped from Mint
