For those interested with the help of Freebasic and an excellent online Linux compiler, I am building a collection of old Freeware Qbasic code of mine tested with Mint 13 as at
http://www.sigord.co.uk//SubmitsLinux/LinuxSoftware.htm
It should work with other Debian like Ubuntu and have tested it on Knoppix even Slackware Puppy.
