i think it's just a dns problem. replacing .com with .org will still load the site.

DistroWatch.com domain name status

As many of you noticed, the distrowatch.com domain name was suspended by the domain's registrar, Doteasy, last Sunday. I don't want to go into details about what exactly happened as it's a long and boring story. Suffice to say that I feel grossly aggrieved by the series of greedy and malicious actions taken by Doteasy and as soon as I get this sorted out, I will be looking into transferring the distrowatch.com domain name to another registrar. If any of you have a recommendation for a good registrar (preferably with customer support personnel that is competent), please let me know in the comments section below or send me an email to distrowatch@yandex.ru (the distrowatch.com mail service has also been suspended by Doteasy).

- just read "DistroWatch Weekly"

http://distrowatch.com/
is down still. ..
- with an error from Doteasy.com

Edit: if, it is as suspected - an resources overuse issue,
then they may have some troubles in getting a hosting company,
who is able or willing to assist.

- this is the same issue that "TheMann" from Ultimate Edition O/S
who just went through this same scenario.

Currently distrowatch.com is reachable here, but distrowatch.org is not. Guess this will go on for a while till the conflict between the webpage owner and his registrar has been sorted out.
